The Great Controversy.
“When Sunday observance shall be enforced by law, and the world shall be enlightened concerning the obligation of the true Sabbath, then whoever shall transgress the command of God, to obey a precept which has no higher authority than that of Rome, will thereby honor popery above God. He is worshiping the beast and his image.”
— The Great Controversy
GENESIS CONFLICT
Today, the majority of scientists consider evolution a fact, although there is debate about its pace and mechanisms. Even within the religious sphere, the old tensions between science and faith have diminished. Global education promotes evolution as the main explanation for the origin of life, but there are still scientists who defend a literal creation, and many believe in a literal interpretation of Genesis.
PATRIARCHS AND PROPHETS
From Solomon to the Babylonian captivity, this book traces the history of God’s people and their struggles against apostasy. It highlights the dangers of compromising God’s law, laying the foundation for understanding end-time events and the coming conflict over true and false worship.
CHRIST IN HIS SANCTUARY
The heavenly sanctuary is the very center of Christ’s work on behalf of humanity. It concerns every soul living on the earth. It opens our view to the plan of redemption, leading us to the end of the world and revealing the triumph of the struggle between righteousness and sin. It is of utmost importance that everyone study these themes thoroughly and be able to answer anyone who asks them about the hope that is within them.
EVENTS OF THE LAST DAYS
In 1992, the trustees of the Ellen G. White Estate, in cooperation with the Pacific Press Publishing Association, published a new compilation of Ellen White’s statements on the end times titled Events of the Last Days.
DANIEL AND REVELATION
From statues and symbolic beasts to the mark of the beast and God’s final triumph, this book transforms the complex symbols of Revelation into understandable realities. Smith shows that history is not a series of random events, but the precise fulfillment of the Word of God.
HEAVEN
Some of Ellen G. White’s earliest visions contained brilliant glimpses of heaven and the renewed earth. Upon awakening, this world seemed dark and lonely to her compared with the radiant beauty of the coming world she had seen so vividly. And she often struggled to find words to describe what had been shown to her in vision. Here you will find not only descriptions of the glories that await us, but also information about the activities of the redeemed, the certainty of Jesus’ coming to take us home, and the end of evil.
THE STORY OF REDEMPTION
In the mid-nineteenth century, Ellen White experienced a series of visions about “the great controversy between Christ and Satan.” These visions inspired a small work titled Spiritual Gifts, which was later expanded into four volumes, The Spirit of Prophecy. Subsequently, this material was further expanded and published in the five-volume series The Great Controversy.
The Story of Redemption contains the essence of The Spirit of Prophecy, with additional material. In chronological order, it covers God’s relationship with humanity from the original fall of Lucifer to the new earth, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses that often provide details not found in Scripture.
